"...biking is a means of living intelligently - one is attempting to conserve energy and not contribute to the ongoing environmental decay of this world. Personally I have found that biking awakens all of my senses - sight, hearing, touch, even the way I exist within my body feels different. I feel much more alive."

Earth Rider is a lifestyle. It represents respecting the environment, being active, setting goals, and rewarding yourself for your achievement. It is about feeling and believing and living the dream. It is a prescription for the heart and soul-piercing pines, synchronized streams, brawny bridges, darling deer, content cows, vast vistas, singular sunsets, friendship. It's a ride in the country where the bike, heart, lungs, and legs become one well-oiled machine in a fluid state. The stress, dullness, clutter, and harshness of the world fade away and are replaced with endless possibilities. And at the end of the day you relish the luxuries, peace and contentment you have earned.

Our Historic Building
An early example of post-civil war architecture and cornerstone of Brodhead's historic downtown, the Pfisterer Building at 929 W. Exchange St. is the new location of Earth Rider. This historic structure, one of the oldest and largest buildings in the registered historic district of Brodhead, was constructed between 1869 and 1871 during the height of the Exchange Square building boom. It has housed a variety of commerical businesses over it's 120 year history including grocery, jewelry, watch, and wallpaper retail stores and was recently a professional building.
